Nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner. And in one year, this adds up to more than 10 million women and men in the US alone. Victims of abuse are often always close to their abuser, watching over them – which is one reason victims don’t report.
Based on this, we are introducing Safe ID for Apple.
Safe ID is using the already existing technology of Apple’s Face ID in a new way to reach and help victims of abuse (and others hurt) report. Based on this technology, Safe ID can detect abnormalities such as bruises, swelling and blood by comparing it to your stored face id data and makes it possible for victims to report and document damages discreetly from their phone.
